Latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 & Z Fold 4 – Foldable Smartphones

Samsung disclosed its two impulsive foldable smartphones at Samsung unpacked event last week. Samsung launched these phones along with the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy buds 2. Moreover, these smartphones are pretty different from their Predecessors i.e, the Galaxy Flip 3 and Fold 3.

There are many changes in both the smartphones like in their third series we have found. Snapdragon 888 processor is used in the 3^rd series whereas you will discover Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the fourth series. However, we don’t find much difference in the pricing of the smartphone. The launch price kept for the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4 is Rs 1,42,000 and for Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 is Rs. 79,000.

Display

Starting with Samsung Galaxy Fold 4, this device comes with a 6.19-inch foldable dynamic AMOLED display that supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The external size of the smartphone display is 7.56-inch. The display size is a little bit less if we compare it with the third series. Samsung claims that this is done for a better grip and comfort. Both smartphones support HDR10+ over the primary display.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z flip 4 comes with a 6.7-inch display with FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz of refresh rate. This device has a 2-inch display cover which is a little bigger than the Galaxy Flip 3. Additionally, all these Flip 4 have a clean display compared to the punch hole display we get in flip 3.

Design

The design of the Samsung Z fold 4 is almost the same as that of its predecessor. The only difference we could identify between the smartphones is the highlighted edges, better build, and angled edge. The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4 has an in-display fingerprint sensor and we could find three sensors placed on a pill-shaped island at the top of the left corner of the back panel. This smartphone comes in three color options Beige, Gray Green, and Phantom Black.

If we talk about the Samsung Galaxy z Flip 4 it has a little larger display as compared to the galaxy flip 3. The camera module bulged out slightly and has redesigned hinge. The Galaxy flip comes in four different color variants i.e Pink Gold, Blue, Graphite, and Bora Purple.

Camera

The Galaxy fold 4 ships with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 50MP main camera that supports OIS and EIS features. The other two cameras include a 10MP telephoto sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Along with this, we could find a 10MP front camera that provides the best image quality while video calls and taking selfies. If we compare the camera of the fourth series with the third one, there is a drastic upgradation in the sensors.

In Galaxy Flip 4 we get to see a dual camera setup that includes a 12MP Ultra-wide angle Camera and a 12MP wide-angle camera. If we talk about the front side it has 10MP high quality that is meant for capturing good selfies and attending video calls. The camera console we find in flip 4 is almost flip 3.   

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy Z fold 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It has 128GB RAM in the base variant and 16GB in the top variant. The internal storage also comes in two variants i.e, 128GB and 1TB. As far as the battery is considered, the device is packed with a 4400mAh battery which is slightly higher than we get in Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. The third series of Galaxy used to run on Snapdragon 888 Processor.

The Z Flip 4 is more powerful with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired up with 8GB RAM. This device has two different storage options 128GB and 256GB respectively. Like Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Flip 4 also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
